Michael M Crow honored at 2023 Arizona Historymaker Celebration

 A Board Meeting in Australia prevented Michael Crow from personally accepting his honor of 2023 Arizona Historymaker™ as Educator and Innovator: under his leadership as president, Arizona State University achieved national renown. But that did not stop those who appreciate the work he is doing for Arizona State University from supporting him at the event October 14 at Arizona Heritage Center. He joined us via a pre-recorded message on the big screen.

Dr. Michael Crow 2023 Arizona Historymaker

 The son of an enlisted Navy man, Michael Crow lost his mother at age 9, and subsequently attended 18 schools before attending college at Iowa State University. Inspired by his own education journey and an experience he had while completing his Eagle Scout service project, Dr. Crow became interested in the design of learning and research enterprises. Honored as 2023 Arizona Historymaker™ Oct 14, he accepted via video from a conference in Australia. The 16th president of Arizona State University, he has spearheaded ASU's rapid and significant transformation into one of the world's best public research universities.

Plans are moving forward for 2023 Arizona Historymakers

 Plans are moving forward to honor the 2023 Arizona Historymakers on October 14 at AZHC in Papago Park.

Conversations were enthusiastic as attendees visited with 2023 Arizona Historymakers. Smiling faces tell the story of the successful event. It was time to celebrate and visit with the crowd supporting the new 2023 Arizona Historymakers.

Talented League member Linda Corderman will help co-ordinate the new 2023 Historymaker exhibit at Arizona Heritage Center. We are so grateful to have her participating in the displays for the 2023 Arizona Historymakers.

2023 Historymakers Announcement event

 Exciting time at Arizona Heritage Center at Papago Park as the 2023 Historymakers were announced. The reception was very well attended by Historymakers, dignitaries, press and Historical League members.
