How does a desert city get water? Fascinating tour of a Water Treatment plant gave us a glimpse into this amazing process. Filtration, separation, chemistry, physics and engineering clean the water from the Colorado, Salt and Verde rivers. A series of canals supply water to Phoenix, the 5th largest city in the country. After yesterday's tour, Historical League members are more appreciative of our water. Thanks to Rene Blain and Judy Blackwell for organizing this tour.
