President times THREE = Susan Dale

Serving 3 terms as President of the Historical League, we are so grateful for everything Susan Dale has done! Incoming President Claire Nullmeyer pinned her new label on, then presented her with a crystal gavel. An engraved crystal bowl was also part of the ceremony.

JOY at Spring Recognition Luncheon

JOY. Describes the feeling in the room as we gathered together for the Spring Recognition Luncheon and Awards celebration. Tawn Downs from the AZ Heritage Center gave us an update and Thank You from the staff. Outgoing President Susan Dale gave us a warm welcome after serving fabulously in this position for an unprecedented two years in a row. Advisor Nina Filippi gave us a heart-felt summary of the year. Incoming President Claire gave us an emotional talk. President Elect Chris Hackett was introduced and given her new label pin. We all were VERY appreciative for the work they have done during the pandemic.

Spring Recognition Luncheon

Hugs, smiles, conversation and laughter. The Spring Recognition Luncheon reminded us how wonderful it is to be together again. Along with a lovely luncheon and award activities, we are grateful for all the good things that have happened this past year in spite of the pandemic!

May 3 Meeting Updates on Future of History Fund

We cannot meet in person, but we accomplish a lot at Zoom meetings. Here are more photos from the May 3 gathering online. It is very exciting to learn that the Future of History Fund has reached $91,845 with the goals: 1. An update of the Historymakers Hall exhibit. 2. Support for Arizona teachers and students to develop National History Day projects. 3. Outreach dollars for the Arizona Heritage Center to reach new audiences. Thanks to all the generous donors. May 3, 2021 Meeting

This is how we roll now with Historical League Zoom meetings. They are filled with National History Day information, reports on Future of History Fund, exhibit updates, Tastes & Treasures II promotions, Social Media tutorials, and good stories that make us laugh as well. It will be great to meet in person again at the AZ Heritage Center but until then, online meetings work with 28 attending the May 3 monthly meeting.
