Tastes & Treasures II: A Storytelling Cookbook of Historic Arizona published by the Historical League, Inc. 2018
Volume I 2007 Regional winner of the Tabasco Community Cookbook award
Organized in 1979, the Historical League, Inc., a 501(c)(3), is a fundraising arm of the AZ Heritage Center (formerly Arizona Historical Society Museum),
a Smithsonian affiliate, at Papago Park, Tempe, Arizona.
We hope that you and your families are safe and staying well. We know many of you have been looking forward to visiting our museums and libraries.
Please be advised that as of Tuesday, June 30, Arizona History Museum in Tucson and the Arizona Heritage Center at Papago Park in Tempe will again temporarily close to the public. Both libraries and archives will also close to researchers. All other Arizona Historical Society museums remain closed to the public until further notice. We are taking precautions to protect our staff, visitors, and guests during these uncertain times. With this pause, we hope we can be part of a larger effort to help slow the spread of COVID-19 and keep our state and communities healthy.
While our museums are closed, some of our museum grounds will remain open to the public during normal operating hours. Please remember to maintain social distancing practices recommended by the National Recreation and Park Association.
Pioneer Museum (Flagstaff): Tuesday – Saturday, 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. – Grounds are open, although buildings are closed
We will continue working to bring you Arizona history, answering archives requests, processing collections, and creating digital content for you to #MuseumFromHome. Please stay connected with us through our website, email, and social media.
These are difficult times for all of us. If you can support our work with a gift, we greatly appreciate your support.
