Arizona Historical Society is a great source for research.

AHS is a great source for research.

Camelback Chapter D.A.R. reports, " We began the 2026–2027 year with a wonderful program presented by C.A.R. Arizona State President Swaram Singh. His state project, America at 250: Forgotten Voices, highlights the often-overlooked stories of Arizona’s Tribal Nations and the people of New Spain.
Because Arizona saw little direct Revolutionary War activity, Swaram expanded his research to the years 1700–1800, providing a broader understanding of the people and events that shaped our region. With information scattered among many sources, the project required extensive research. He has partnered with the Arizona Historical Society and the Arizona America250 Commission and hopes to raise $5,000 to support exhibits in Flagstaff, Tempe, and Phoenix.
Swaram concluded by reminding us that Arizona still played a part in the American Revolution. Spanish soldiers stationed at the Tucson Presidio contributed 459 silver pesos in donativos to King Carlos III of Spain, helping fund Spain’s assistance in the war for American independence.
