Tastes & Treasures II is now on the shelves at the beautiful Tubac Golf Resort gift shop. We toured this historic venue on our recent overnight trip to SE Arizona. Full of history, we enjoyed a detailed talk, then walking tour of the grounds. So much to see and learn! Did you know . . . The Otero Family who were the original settlers of the property dating back to 1789. Cattle still roam the fields, occasionally near the golf course. Juan Batista DeAnza was the commandant of the Tubac Presidio and led an expedition west that ultimately founded the city of San Francisco. The Tubac Golf Resort and Spa was made famous by Kevin Costner’s 1996 movie “Tin Cup,” where many of the scenes were filmed.
