Jan Murray sums up our appreciation to our tour leaders Linda Fritsch and Lindy Isacksen, "What a fantastic trip you girls planned.  You had it down to the minute and that is not easy with a large group.  We were like herding cats. One of 40 Historical League ladies to enjoy the trip, Jody van Rijn comments, "One of the highlights of our Texas adventure was the visit to Magnolia Market at the Silos in Waco. The collection of buildings we saw were the dream of Chip and Joanna Gains, stars of the HGTV reality show, Fixer Upper, in which they flip, remodel and fix up homes for families in Waco and the surrounding areas.
Watching Fixer Upper and in addition to seeing the process of renovating and designing homes you learn about their family, life on the farm and talented local artisans who help create unique and beautiful items for each home, many of which we saw in Magnolia Market. Chip and Joanna have a wonderful relationship filled with humor so it promises to be a relaxing and enjoyable hour of TV."

Navajo Nation trip with Historical League

Put this on your "Bucket List". It was an amazing trip through beautiful and rugged country with the Historical League. The bus trip was sold out with 40 ladies going to Monument Valley. The blue sky and vistas were awesome.
We were prepped on the bus with the John Wayne movie Stagecoach.
