Jan Hoeschler 1940-2024, long time Historical League member

It is with sadness that we share the news of the passing of our dear, longtime Historical League member Janice “Jan” Hunter Hoeschler on Monday, February 26.

Jan joined the Historical League in 1990 and served in many leadership positions, including president from 1997-1998. Jan was an amazing mentor for League members who followed in her footsteps.
She always had a radiant smile and great sense of humor, and whatever project she took on, she did it with grace. Jan will be dearly missed.
A celebration of Jan’s wonderful life will be held on March 19, 2024, at 12:00 p.m. at the The Casa Franciscan Renewal Center, 5802 East Lincoln Drive, Paradise Valley, AZ .

Lovin' the Love Kitchen

Delores Tomasek, Jan Hoeschler, Zona Lorig and Barb Ziehler raised funds for the Love Kitchen July 29 at the White Mountain Home Tour. This was done as they promoted the Historical League and sold Tastes and Treasures II at the White Mountain Country Club.

The Love Kitchen, operating since 1986, serves a nutritious daily meal to 400-600 guests from the communities of both Navajo and Apache counties. In 2017, 80,747 meals and food boxes were distributed helping to fill the needs of the hungry as well as nourishment for the souls."

Thanks to Barb Ziehler, Tastes and Treasures II was invited to have a table at the White Mountain Home Tour, Monday, July 29.
