March Zoom Historical League meeting with guest speaker Ed Dobbins

At one point over 40 people were on the March Zoom Historical League meeting. We learned that the 40th Anniversary Fund has raised $66,383 thanks to the hard work of President Susan Dale, Pat Grogg and numerous other members. With guest speaker Ed Dobbins we were educated and entertained. Ed who joined the Historical League this fall, spoke about C.J. Dyer, who is best known for his 1885 bird’s-eye view of Phoenix. But Dyer created four others, including one that was never published. Dyer, a cartographer and artist, was also a Phoenix mayor. No photo of him was ever known until Ed discovered one last year during his research.
