Sgt. First Class Michael Rodriguez, a Special Forces Green Beret, comes
from a military family: from grandfathers that served in WWII, a father
that served in Vietnam, and a wife and
son that also served, the Rodriguez family has seen 16 deployments. A
vocal advocate for the power of art, and a metalworker himself,
Rodriguez was medically retired after 21 years of continuous service due
to various injuries he endured throughout his career.
See Michael’s
portrait in person at the Portraits of Courage exhibition running from
October 19 to December 29 at Arizona Historical Society's Arizona
Heritage Center at Papago Park in Tempe.
