Hiking back to the caves and petroglyphs was part of the fun at the Navajo National Monument. The trails were well marked. We took the one with the great view but would love to go back and hike into the valley. Binoculars are needed to see the detail inside the dwellings. It was a quick stop but well worth it on our Historical League tour.
