The basil plant is out of control. Time to make some Pesto.
Homemade Basil Pesto
Ingredients:
1 1/2 cup basil leaves
1/4 cup extra-virgin olive oil
1/4 cup pine nuts
1 garlic clove, chopped
salt
freshly ground black pepper to taste
Directions:
Combine all ingredients in a food processor or high-speed blender.
Puree until smooth.
Makes about 1/2 cup.
