Postcard Contest Winners

 Congratulations to one of the winners of the Arizona Historical Society Postcard Contest, Yavapai Elementary School’s own: Jose! Gabriela and Ariel were our finalists. Jose’s artwork will be turned into a postcard that can be purchased at the Arizona Historical Society. Thanks to Dr. Kristen Rex for this enriching program.


Congratulations to Avrie Lerman, Twin Peaks Elementary, for being one of the Top 10 Winners in the Arizona Historical Society Postcard Contest. Congratulations! Avrie won a pizza party for Mr. Shult’s third grade class. Thank you to everyone who supported Avrie by voting for her postcard!

East Valley NHDAZ judging

 Excitement was in the air at the NHDAZ East Valley for students, teachers, judges and volunteers. Historical League members Pat Faur and Sharron McKinney were on hand to help out. We are so grateful for Dr. Kristen Rex organization of this project.

NHDAZ exhibits on display

 Talented and well researched entries for NHDAZ. The students have worked hard and learned much. Final judging April 13 at ASU. The Historical League is proud to support this program with judges, volunteers, mentors, support and financial aid.

Saving Historic Restaurants with the National Trust and American Express

Together with American Express the National Trust is once again offering the Backing Historic Small Restaurants Grant Program to help restaurants address critical needs amid ongoing economic challenges. This year, they're DOUBLING the number of grant awardees to 50 small or independently owned restaurants across the country! They're accepting nominations from restaurant enthusiasts as well as formal grant applications from restaurant owners.
