Spring Party at Historic Home
The Historical League has the most interesting places to visit. Can't wait to see this home built in 1930 near the Phoenix Country Club - it will be our Spring Party. According to an article in Arizona Republican newspaper July 21, 1929, the “mansion will contain every convenience” in this Italian-style home.

Dr Burruel's stories of growing up along the canals in Scottsdale are fascinating. His family were "squatters", homesteading on Salt River Project land. As a boy he would hunt rabbits and dove and work in the cotton fields. His service in the Navy during WWII took him to many places but he returned to Arizona to study, earning degrees at NAU and ASU.
