Arizona Inn on Historical League Tour

Arizona Inn has amazing history. We are so pleased to have them in Tastes & Treasures II with their story and recipes.
Manager Patrick Cray gave us an informative tour and a small B&W book filled with history of the place. Hollywood and high society came often to Arizona Inn.
Perfect place for our group photo among the flowers.

New exhibit of Cowgirl Art at Tubac Presidio

These were amazing Women of the West. Interesting new exhibit at Tubac Presidio.

She is controlling the animal by pulling up his upper lip and pulling on his ear!

Tubac Presidio: Such history here amongst the flowers and herbs growing in the pots. Park Director Shannon Stone told us the fascinating stories behind this State Historic Park. Tastes & Treasures II cookbook is now on the shelves to add to those stories.

New exhibit featuring Cowgirls

Tastes & Treasures now at Santa Cruz Chili and Spice Co.

The aroma of spices fills the air as you walk into this amazing shop. Tastes & Treasures II is now sharing space on the shelves with these wonderful scents. You can find so many wonderful ingredients for recipes in our Tastes & Treasures II cookbook.

So glad we got to visit Jean England Neubauer at Santa Cruz Chili and Spice Co. in Tumacacori, AZ. She stayed open just for us!

Jean's parents have deep roots in the southwest with ranching, Hollywood films and saddle-making (McClellan saddle popular with the US Army.)

Historical League tours are amazing . . . we discover so much and learn history of the Southwest.

Biosphere 2 Historical League trip

Anne Lupica and Deb Hester at the ocean
From rainforest to savannah, roaring ocean to desert, with tropical flowers, giant breathing lungs, two acre basement containing miles of tubing, high and low pressure wind area and so much more . . . Biosphere 2 was indeed a fascinating stop on our three day tour of SE Arizona. Full of facts and statistics. "A conceptual and engineering marvel, it was created to study ecosystem processes under controlled conditions, but at large scales."
We even checked out the gift shop to see if they might want to stock Tastes and Treasures II: A Storytelling Cookbook of Historic Arizona.
